We’ve developed a suite of qualifications in Broadcast & Digital Media, which cover areas such as video and radio production, understanding the business side of the media industry and how the technology that drives all the media software and hardware actually works. Alongside GCSEs, you’ll be working towards vocational media qualifications that we’ve developed specifically to build the skills and knowledge required to progress within the creative industries.
You'll be studying two linked qualifications in Creative Media Production and Technology and Enterprise and Marketing. This will involve creating digital graphics, animated films, TV shows in our live TV studios and, of course, creating radio broadcasts. In addition to this, you will be learning how to develop digital content to show off your productions in your creative digital portfolio. You’ll also learn how to propose, pitch and present a product. All of this will form part of your career plan that will be devised from the understanding you gain of business and enterprise. You'll complete the course with your very own start up business planned and a great website with some amazing media productions to promote it.
